HPYF Regatta 2013

Invitation for HPYF 2013

HPYF 2013, CROATIA, TROGIR – TROGIR, 21/09/13 – 28/09/13

HPYF 2013 will start and end in Trogir. Below is our initial itinerary/route suggestion, a great combination of lovely ports and beautiful anchorages of Central Dalmatia.

SAT: Trogir, Welcome party
SUN: Trogir – Komiza – 32NM
MON: Komiza – Scedro – 27NM
TUE: Scedro – Vis – 20NM
WED: Vis – Hvar – 13NM
THU: Hvar – Bay Sesula - 18NM or Bay Krknjasi – 22NM
FRI: Trogir, Prize giving party

SATURDAY – arrival in Trogir, all the boats will be moored in the ACI Marina. Welcome party in the evening.
SUNDAY – Komiza on island Vis, if the weather allows us. It is a lovely little town, quiet, with beautiful stone houses.
MONDAY – An anchorage on island Scedro.
TUESDAY – Back to the island of Vis, to Vis town this time. Vis is another lovely town with good restaurants and bars in the Kut area (where I hope we can moor). It also offers good walk along the wide bay of Vis or some interesting trips inland of the island (including wine tasting and the most amazing meal PEKA at the Roki’s restaurant in the hills of the island (15 minute drive)).
WEDNESDAY – Island Hvar – Hvar town is spectacular: beautiful, vibrant, with many restaurants and bars, great walk up to the forth and many art shops around. Really an amazing place, but ideally, we want to be moored in, to fully appreciate it. We are now working on a possibility of prearranging mooring in the port.
THURSDAY – The Roux night, our gourmet dinner – For this, we want an anchorage and that could be either one of the Pakleni archipelago bays or perhaps the Krknjasi anchorage closer to Trogir.
FRIDAY – Back to Trogir, Prize giving party

The closest airport is Split, about a 15 minute drive from the marina in Trogir. If flying from London, there is Easyjet (at not so friendly hours) but there is Croatia Airlines too. With them, we are hoping to get a HPYF deal. They fly in/out of Heathrow on Saturdays. I will know about this shortly. With any of the options, I suggest booking the flights asap in order to obtain the best deals.

We have gathered a fleet of Bavaria boats 39ft – 55ft. The idea is to cap the numbers to 15 for next year. We will be using four different charter companies, all of them really good with well-maintained fleets. In order to keep an equal fleet, we will have to confirm the boats as soon as possible. Once the boats are confirmed a charter contract would have to be signed and the deposit will have to be paid in order to fully secure the charter. Deposit is a 50% of the charter fee. (A standard practice with any charter company.)

After the options are released, we will not be able to guarantee availability, but can check it any time.

The bookings will be taken on the first come first served basis.

The invitation and the boat list are now published live. It would be a real pleasure to see all of you again next year and to welcome new participants too.
